Plant a Garden topic from 5/29/08 meeting « Thread Started on May 30, 2008, 8:45am »
Sherri S. proposed planting a perrenial garden at one of the local parks (perhaps Francisco). This would not only help to beautify the park but would aslpo be a great "family project" to involve the kids. Sherri plans to call the Rec Dept to see what is involved as well as inquire about getting materials donated.
The question of maintenance was raised and it was thought that if the club could not maintain the garden, perhaps we could get a local landscaper to sponsor it. The goal is to get this done asap, while the planting season is still good.
