Some of you may or may not know that hte Luciano family of West Caldwell on the Sunday of memorial day weekend suffered a lost of pretty much most of their house due to a fire. Currently my father and family are setting up a fund to collect donations(monetary) for them as they are currently living in a hotel and dealing with the frustration of slow moving insurance companies. They've lost clothing , personal items and a host of other things.

My idea would be to set up a fund through fund raising over the year with maybe one or two drives during the year and use that money to make a donation to the families which sufferred hardships loss of property, sudden illness ,etc....

i think there will be a press release out in the progress about the Luciano fund.

This is an interesting idea. It seems that at LEAST once per year, there is a family in our community that suffers a serious loss (fire, losing a parent to illness, etc).

We can talk more about this - its a great idea for the future. I think to undertake something like this, the club needs to be a little bigger - especially to put on a large scale fundraiser) and also needs its financial structure in place - especially to start a "fund."
